Virginia
Theological Seminary
Our Mission: Forming men and women for the ministry of the church
Virginia Theological Seminary is a seminary of the Episcopal Church
accredited by the Association of Theological Schools. It seeks to
further the universal mission of Christ’s church by providing graduate
theological education and serving as a theological resource for the
Anglican Communion and the wider church.
The Phoebe Needles Center
The Center is located in facilities which originally housed an
Episcopal mission school called Saint Peter's-in-the-Mountains, built
with funds donated by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C. Needles in memory of their
young daughter, Phoebe.
In the 1960's, the Episcopal Diocese of Southwestern Virginia converted
the property into a retreat and conference center. It continues to be a
place apart for gatherings of people from both the local area and the
region.

Bishop Marmion Resource Center
Jesus said to "Go and teach," and one of our Diocese's goals is to
speak the faith and increase understanding through teaching and
education. The goal of the center is to house and distribute
resources (books, videos, audio tapes, and curricula) to the diocese
and other interested denominations.
